StarAudit is a non-profit organization as is the StarAudit program. This program is not funded by any industry sponsor nor does it receive any financial means from other organisations or government bodies. This demands a strict separation of responsibilities: between commercial activities such as, StarAudit-training, StarAudit-consulting and StarAudit-auditing, and the non-commercial tasks of StarAudit development.
StarAudit is responsible for the non-commercial activities: Maintaining and developing the StarAudit catalogue, the relevant procedures to perform StarAudit audits and developing the StarAudit eco system. StarAudit is the only organisation worldwide that is permitted to continuously improve and develop the StarAudit catalogue. For this purpose an StarAudit-Advisory Board will be established. Representatives of Certification partners, Embassies, Government Organisations and Cloud-industry will be represented in this board to make sure, that the StarAudit will continuously improve, be up to date and match the high quality standard of StarAudit.
Commercial activities may be performed by accredited StarAudit Partners in many countries of the world. They are granted the right to promote, execute StarAudit audits, StarAudit consulting and StarAudit trainings.
